Should You be Seeing a Doctor of Chiropractic?
Many things can cause the moving bones of the spine to lose their normal motion or position. These misalignments are called subluxations. Subluxations can irritate or choke the sensitive nerve roots that branch off the spinal cord and service the organs and tissues throughout the body. Most spinal problems result in the appearance of unequal leg lengths.
The following is a simple screening test for presence of spinal subluxations. Try this test with your children as an early spinal screening tool, or have someone perform the test on you in order to see if you should be seeing us.

You can do these steps yourself:
Step 1 Have the person being tested wear hard soled shoes and lay across a bed with their arms at their side, legs together, and feet hanging off the bed. |
Step 2 2(a): Hold both feet with slight upward pressure. Observe leg lengths to see if one leg appears shorter than the other leg. |
| 2(b): Test again by bending the knees to compare. In many cases, the leg length may change from position 2(a) to position 2(b). |
