IS IT THE WAY WE WALK?

Headaches, neck, mid and low back  pain may sometimes be the result of an uneven gait. Perhaps one leg is a bit shorter than the other. Or  perhaps your feet pronate- roll inward- when you walk.
We have more than one way to treat that type of pain. We will evaluate you structurally from your feet to your neck .Gentle chiropractic manipulation is used to ease the discomfort of misaligned vertebrae or pinched nerves. We will also scan your feet while you are in a standing position to capture any distortions in your feet that may cause your arch to collapse. A fallen arch can cause your leg length to get shorter which causes instability in your low back. Fallen arches  can also cause a shift in your center of balance  which makes  you hold your head to far forward, creating headache, neck and upper back pain. Research indicates that scanning your feet while in a weight bearing position is much better than the  non-weight bearing casts that most  podiatrists use. It has been found that capturing the distortion as it currently exists allows the lab to make a more effective support. Our clinic website, www.schumacherchiropractic.com  has a video of me scanning an employee"s feet  which shows you how this is done.
When we improve the stability of your feet we also improve the strength of your spine. We make what I consider the best foot orthotics available. We make 37 different styles to work with every type of footwear imaginable. We even make custom  shoes and sandals. You can visit  www.Footlevelers.com and learn more about these products. Foot levelers  currently has a special offer through February 28th, you can buy any pair of orthotics for only $178.00. Thats a great deal when you consider that our best product  retails at $299.00. Please contact me with any questions.
