Headaches
A frequent and overlooked cause of headaches is the malfunction of spinal bones in the neck and upper back. When spinal bones move out of their normal position, sensitive nerves and blood vessels to the head can be affected. When nerves and soft tissues are stretched or irritated, they can cause throbbing headaches to occur. Aspirin and headache medications may cover up the symptoms, but do nothing to correct the problem. Headaches from nerve irritation can come from many causes, including poor posture while relaxing, repetitive movements over an extended period of time, while at work, or whiplash from a car accident. It's not uncommon for headache symptoms to develop over time. We are often able to trace the cause of your pain to injuries that happened days, weeks, months and even years earlier. Spinal malfunction related to these injuries can take a long time to create symptoms. Our doctors are experts at treating neck injuries from all causes. If you're hurt on the job, workers compensation insurance pays your chiropractic bill for you. If you're involved in a car accident, your car insurance pays at 100%. If you or someone you know has problems with headaches, feel free to ask questions on this blog or give me a call at 952-931-9867.
